Plans

Our Sherwood started out as a Sherwood 37, but a change here and a change there it grew a little until we were happy.

Changes from the Sherwood37

- My wife wanted the galley facade, which was only available on the Sherwood 42, however if we extended the top floor bedrooms, then she could get her front balcony. This also fixed the major problem I had with the Sherwood37 design, bedroom 3 and 4 were too small.

- The Baby room, bedroom 5, did not need it however my daughter could use a walk in robe, as any girl would want. Bigger WIR for wife tick for happy WIR for daughter another tick for happy.

- The linen press down stairs made no sense to me and was a wasted space and we wanted a better prep and pantry area. Bang goes the linen press bigger pantry accomplished.

- The laundries as small on all project house, and it made no sense to me to cut the laundry short on the back wall. Extend the laundry to the back wall and wife now much happier.

- Alfresco, you can never have it too big, they are always too small, so increased it a metre at the rear.

- I need a server rack, and the garage space once two cars are included is never enough so I pinched some study space for the rack and a little alcove for a freezer.

The rest of the changes were really due to necessity which was the step down between front half and back half of the house and drop edge beam on the west facing wall.
